mosaic commissions

Initial consultation with the client of the mosaic commission to discuss mosaic design ideas and take measurements. An approximate fee would be established.

Submission design roughs. Several alternative design roughs together with tile/material samples would be presented to client.

The making stage. The project is produced at the Inspired Mosaics workshop. The client is invited to view the work when half complete.

Siting of work. The completed mosaic is transported to the site, cemented into place and grouted. Responsibility for siting the mosaic rests with Inspired Mosaics.

Furniture mosaics would be ready for collection or delivery can be arranged for a small carriage charge.

Mosaics for children is at the school with the children's participation; facilitated by us, made by them.

Public & community mosaic projects that involve liaison and/or workshops with the local community are scheduled, with the main work produced at the workshop.

mosaic costs for work

Architectural work like balcony mosaics is priced per square metre according to the complexity of design, the materials used, the making and installation. Prices range from £1200 to £2,000 per square metre. There is a small design fee, refundable if the project goes ahead.

Mosaic mirrors, clocks and tables range from £350 to £3,000.

School and community projects are priced at a day rate of £300 - £450 plus cost of materials.

Payment Terms

Payment is in three equal instalments; at the start, middle and with the completion of the project.
